Additional Comments:
Please note that I recently modified this add to include a new update on Anabelle. At the time of the inital posting of this ad, we were in the process of getting the Vet out to look at a swelling on her right hind pastern joint. It took us two attempts to get x-rays (machine failure on the first try/Anabelle was a breeze during both procedures). And we just found out that her body is fusing the pastern joint togther due to all the weight that was on it from a previous injury to her left hind stifle. She had the stifle injury when we took her in back in June. Though her stifle healed beautifully, her right pastern now needs to recover. She is currently on anit-inflammatories right now, and at this time we do not know what the final outcome will be. The Vet says that often older horses will have this joint surgically fused and because it is a low motion joint, these horses often go on and can be ridden again. Her record has been marked at the clinic to discuss her case with anyone interested in acquiring her. Just call or email and I will pass the Vet info on. As previously mentioned in the first posting of this ad, I do not have the experience or time to train a young horse and that is the reason I am looking for a new home for her. It is not because of her injuries. I thought I would have more time to devote to her. I am not asking anything for her, even with her great bloodlines. I just want to find someone to work with her and love her. She has a sweet personality and loves to be around you. Dogs and cats do not bother her, and she isn't spooky at all. Since she is youngest in the paddock, so she does get picked on. So when a young child comes in, she sometimes wants to nip at them so she isn't below them in the pecking order. Otherwise she is really sweet. We are working with her, and she does allow me to pick her hooves, though still needs work with the ferrier. She does great with the vet and grooming. Anabelle is also up-to-date on shots.
