Additional Comments:
Cambridge is 16.1 22 yr old registered OTTB mare. We do have papers. Cambridge was a child's equitation and english flat horse, as well a trail horse. She has sat for the last three years, after her owner left for college. She is a little mare-ish with other horses, but is good on the ground. She stands for the vet and farrier. She stands perfectly for mounting and dismounting, and has a great whoa. Cambridge just received a full dental, all her shots, and front shoes.
We have ridden Cambridge on a 2 hour trail ride and she did wonderfully. She is not at all spooky and happily passed cars, bikes, motorcycles, dogs, and even a bird flying out right in front of her. Cambridge does not like other horses close to her rear end, and will kick, but was fine with them on her side, or in front of her. Cambridge is very light and moves very easily off seat and leg pressure.
She went out on a very long trail ride from Cal Expo to Old Sac during Jazz Festival and she did wonderfully, crossed bridges, passed bikers, joggers, cars, boats, strollers, ect. She even stood next to the train in Old Sac. Nothing at all spooked her. She also has a very hunter way of going and is a total packer under saddle, however she does not tie at all, and should not be handled by a beginner on the ground, she seems to get claustrophobic when tied would be best suited for an intermediate handler who wants a safe, fun trail ride with no fuss or spook under saddle. Did a trail ride to Folsom Lake and did wonderful, not a single issue with the hilly terrain, went right into the water for a drink, etc.
