Additional Comments:
Sonny" is 3/4 brother to my stallion "Leroy". We weren't sure which brother we would keep. (We wanted a barrel type stallion, and Leroy is proving to be that build). The bloodlines are speed with Quincy Dan on top and foundation with twice to Music Mount on the bottom. When a yearling, Sonny got pushed, (by other yearlings), into a wooden feed bin and hit his knee; I had x-rays done in Brookings and there are three small bone chips in it. That is why my price is so low. This would not affect him being a breeding stallion. A surgery could be done that would cost somewhere between $1,500 and $2,000 if someone wanted to ride him harder than trail riding. Sonny's dam is a bulldog-built mare and a palamino; his sire a lineback dun like himself. He is going to be a shorter horse than we will want to breed to, but the classic AQHA build. He has the genetics to throw dilute colored babies, he is laid back and the first time saddled he did not buck a bit. Bathes, trims, loads, vaccs, etc. We are saddle training him at this time and he is doing well. I have all the paperwork to get him registered and transferred to a new owner. $1,000
