Empire Maker (barn name: Boogie) is a 14.1 1/2 hand 4 year old 3/4 Thoroughbred, 1/4 Welsh Pony dark bay stallion for sale. Boogie is going nicely under saddle and is starting over fences. He has lovely slow, smooth gaits and is really easy to ride. He can already be ridden with mares in the arena! Boogie has excellent conformation, rock-hard, straight legs and feet, a big, flat-kneed step, and a gorgeous, flowing technique over fences. He is intelligent and very sweet. He learns everything the first time, has an excellent work ethic, and is extremely trusting. Boogie has excellent bloodlines, on both the Thoroughbred and Welsh sides. He is sired by Wind in the Sky (Sky Classic x Before the Wind), and is out of Ananya (Gogarty x Dandardel Babe). He was bred become a top hunter or sport pony sire, but we have are concentrating on breeding purebred Thoroughbreds, so have decided to sell this lovely young pony. Boogie was bred with the idea of crossing him to small Welsh mares for fancy medium hunter ponies, but would also be an excellent cross with medium and large mares.
