Billies Katie is a BIG quiet mare!! Don't let her size scare you! She is beginner/husband safe, and would make a great 1st horse for someone. She was purchased 5 yrs ago for my "green as grass" 10 yr old daughter to build confidence on. My daughter has since moved on to another horse (as has my husband), so this mare has been standing around in the pasture getting fat. My 7 yr old niece from the city comes out to ride her twice a year. This mare rides bare-back with just a halter on out in the pasture (you can ride double on her too), put her in a curb & a saddle or under english with a pelham. She trail rides, crosses water, jumps 2' 6", has been roped off of (will hold a cow), used for calf roping (was to tall), and has run barrels (not fast enough to be competative for High School Rodeo). She loves to be brushed, and will lower her head or adjust her speed when being handled by little kids (she seems to know the difference). When ever my daughter fell off, the mare would stop instantly & wait for her to get back on. I just can't say enough about this mare!!
She has had 3 foals (we've never bred her, as that's not why we bought her). She was bred APHA 2x and both times has LOUD colored foals. She is a roomy mare that doesn't show until after 7 months. She waxes, is an easy foaler with lots of milk. She is a good mom as well.
UTD on shots, deworming, farrier (stands great for the farrier, and easy to deworm). Loads, Bathes & clips without issue.
Selling because we need to get our numbers down, and she's going to waste.
