Additional Comments:
"Sally" is the biggest love bug you will ever meet. It is abslutely breaking my heart to have to find her a new home but she needs a bigger pasture than what i have to give. I am looking to place Sally in a home with nice safe pasture land where she can live out her days being someone's big pet. Sally is in her 20s and is in excellent shape but has arthritis and can no longer be ridden. She might be ok for someone to lead their kids on from time to time but cannot handle lots of weight and heavy riding. I bought her hoping to be able to use her for walking trail rides but i have had the vet out twice for 2 different lameness exams because she has a slight limp. the first one we gave her time off to see how she would be and not much of a change, the 2nd was the heartbreaking news that i could no longer ride her. We have not done x-rays but i must trust my vets opinion that she is just old and needs to jus be turned out to pasture to be a pet. I believe sally was an old Amish work mule in TN (which is where she origionally came from) So she has just had a long hard working life and its time for her to be loved on and retired. Sally is sweet loving and easy to handle. I have led small kids on her. Not a thing in this world spooks her, she ties, clips trailers etc. She loves butt scratches and will back up to you from across that pasture for you to scratch her hiney! She is a character and LOVES to be petted and brushed. she is easy to maintain and with pasture to graze she would not need a lot of grain. My problem is that i own a small boarding facility and i worry about her getting hurt in my small pastures with the younger horses running her. Right now she is turned out in a smaller dirt paddock with my mini donkey and they are the best of friends. But she has no shelter and no grazing. She will get along and immediately attach to any animal you put her with, big or small! I love her to death and if i had the pasture i would not even think to place her in a new home but its not fair to her to stand here with no attention. and i cant afford for my younger horses to run her and boss her around. I will only place her in a home where she will be well cared for and only used as a pasture mate or pet for someone's kids. She is up to date on all shots, coggins, worming and farrier. She is in good shape and is not thin etc she has been loved and cared for. and i will only let her go to someone who will give her the same. I paid $450 for her as a riding mule from a man who was downsizing his herd. I will consider giving Sally to an APPROVED home with a dontation to my lesson program and to help cover my lameness exam bills. Her halter , and new fly mask will go with her. Please email me for more info. As you can see below she is a big quiet sweet girl who craves attention and loves being loved on, she is just a big pet, and i hope that someone will see that and want to give her a good loving home! Thanks fo considering my sweet sally.
