Additional Comments:
Phoenix flexes, can move in circle (tighter or wider), collects, side passes, has a real nice collected stop, backs up nicely. Soft in the bridle. Has awesome smooth trot and lope. Is not chargy but isn't plicky pluck either. Can switch leads, and is not dead sided. Has very nice spins for a young horse like her. She has a great confirmation, a great broodmare prospect too, doesn't dish out nor is piegon toed. Straight clean legs. She is not a bleeder and hasn't had the legs run off her either. Knows how to RUN. Is pheononmal on the trails-- will walk briskly for the first 1/4 mile and beyond that will have a nice steady walk (doesn't lag but doesn't try to take off with you either and most certainly is not spooky!) Rides alone or with group. Is in tip top shape. She has been desensitized and despooked, no problems with tarps! Was sent to a well known southern horse trainer (Dennis Auslam) for 60 days to keep her going while the owner was pregnant. Has had lessons with well known barrel racing trainer (Jane Melby) and Jane Melby said that Phoenix is the type that can still pull off a nice barrel run even if for any reason the run was sloppy. Has been exhibitioned very lightly in the spring, and has gone to a Ranch Versality show. Can track cows and doesn't mind cows either. Enters the cow herd quietly. Phoenix has seen just about everything on showgrounds and isn't spooky. Lunges great. Is a lady in her stall (no weaving, cribbing, kicking, etc.) Phoenix is not the bucking, rearing, biting, mouthy, kicking, cinchy type of horse, but just like any horse there is never any 100% promise that she won't, I am a honest seller and don't believe in making promises when an animal is involved! Anyone who has been around horses knows that. Bonus: Phoenix rides the same even when she is in heat and doesn't make the whole world know what's up with her. Phoenix rides with front boots, back cinch and breast collar so no surprises there for her. She currently rides in a transitional bit, and I've switched bits on her previously and she rode the same! Phoenix currently is being ridden without spurs, tie down, martingale, etc and hasn't ever needed them (is not a high headed or bracy horse, always was ridden with soft hands) Enjoys grooming and LOVES baths. Hauls real well. Stands like a statue for the farrier (currently is not shod and doesn't need shoes, she has excellent feet!). Is a lady for the vet. Speaking of which she is UTD on all shots, and coggins. Well started on barrels, huge potential to be 1D. Due to her age, a confident intermediate to experienced rider that knows what they are doing is recommended so that Phoenix won't ever learn any bad habits or have any bad expereinces and to be kept on the right track that she has been on all along. Get her now, get to know her, and compete in the derbies and bring home the money! She's just waiting for her life with you to start! Asking $3500 or best offer. Additional Photos avail upon request. Sorry no Videos at this time. Has Dash for Cash on her papers.I am sadly selling her due to the fact it is very difficult for me to keep her going now that I am a new "mommy" and Phoenix deserves someone who can ride her all the time and to really take her far into a career! Might be willing to partial trade for a Tennesse Walking Horse, Foxtrotter, Nokota mustang, that is dead broke, older than 7 years of age that trail rides like a dream and wouldn't have trouble around guns, and is the type of horse that rides the same after 2 months of no riding for my green rider husband. Husband does not want any arabs, or quarter horses. No Stallions. The only time he'll consider a Quarter Horse is if it's a Blue Roan.
