Has been ridden western and english and bareback with a halter....only 9 years old. Professional training. Barefoot with GREAT hooves!! 15 hands He is SUPER special. I want a true horse person who will appreciate this beauty! He is a great smooth ride who does not care who is on his back, great ride for all..... picks up all four feet easily (no struggling with this guy!) opens his mouth for the bit, etc I just am not around to ride him like he would like..he LOVES riding!!!!! Here is more information if you are not familiar with the Doc Bar line. Doc Bar was bred for speed and ended up a halter horse who sired exceptional cutting horses and very good (primarily cow) performance horses. Shown at halter (and stood as stallion) by Charley Araujo of CA. Of 13 showings at halter, Doc Bar was grand champion 10 times and reserve champion once. In 1962 Doc Bar was sold for $30,000 to Dr. (dentist) & Mrs. Stephen Jensen of Orinda, CA. Doc Bar lived at their ranch south of Hollister, CA.
