Texas.....just had chemical fusion surgery on February 9, 2009. This surgery is helpful for horses like Texas because he had a painful case of ring bone. Formerly, he was dependent on medication daily. Now, Texas is no longer in pain. The chemical fusion permanently relieves the pain and accelerates the fusion of the affected area. This means that Texas can be ridden like he used to be on trails and in arenas without pain. Texas is a draft cross. He is very well broke to ride, very gentle, great for the vet and farrier, and absolutely loves to be groomed, and loved. Texas' experience includes team penning, 4H, and trails (including water crossings, etc.). Texas' former owner took very good care of him. He has regularly been vaccinated, had farrier care, dental care, etc. Texas is named appropriately as he has a heart as big as Texas. If you are looking for a horse for a rider that is beginner or advanced, consider Texas. Thank you for considering providing a home for Texas. The veterinarian estimates his age to be 16 years old. His rehoming fee is $750.00. We will be using Texas in 4H practices this year to get him back in to the routine of riding, as it has been approximately one year since he was ridden. Shipping Notes:
Can assist with delivery. Delivery charge is $50 trailer fee plus .84 cents per loaded mile, within 300 miles of Hastings, NE. (Colorado locations available as well, if around Colorado Springs). Coggins and Health Cert prior to shipping must be obtained if over State lines and is the additional responsibility of potential owner.
