Additional Comments:
Apache makes riding on the trails fun, has a smooth saddle gait (no trot) and a slow rocking horse canter. He is a "young" 15 yr old and strong enough to carry almost any rider. Had only one previous owner in Tennessee prior to me and was on large trail rides, overnight trips, etc. Had always been ridden western but currently being ridden by a 15 year-old girl western, english (direct reins) and bareback . Hurries to the gate when he sees you coming, loves attention. Everyone notices Apache's flashy colors, thick, muscular neck and proud look and often ask if he is a stallion. Parks out on command. Stands nicely in cross ties, for clipping, for the farrier (currently barefoot) and vet. Hops right in trailers. No vices or history of any health problems. Up to date on teeth floating, hoof trimming, coggins and deworming and vaccines.
Apache is a fantastic, smooth, well-behaved horse. The only reason for selling is because he needs a more confident rider. I am older and worry too much about anything I see or hear which may cause any horse to spook and he picks up on it (and he is not a nervous type of horse). He has been fine for anyone else who has ridden him. Apache deserves a good home. Please call or email if you would like more info/ photos. Price has been reduced and is negotiable. Currently stabled in Joliet, IL near shareboarder.
