This mare is big and beautiful. She is chestnut with a mixed chestnut/flaxen mane and tail. Jewel is nicely gaited with a nice snappy head shake. She is a fun mare to ride and has been shown and won many ribbons. Jewel was padded in the past, but she is now flat shod and gaits very nicely. Jewel would be competitive as a flat shod show horse or would also love to go to a trail riding home. Jewel is very well trained and is a very fun ride, however she needs to be placed with at least an intermediate rider, because she is somewhat forward. She is very easy to contol and soft in the bridle, but she is sensitive to the leg and has a bit of a motor! She has a tremendous amount of presense under saddle. The only reason she is being offered for sale is because she can not be bred. She is a very sweet mare, you never even notice her coming in heat. She does well turned out with geldings and mares. Jewel is currently at a farm in Zebulon, which is very close to Raleigh, NC.
