She is a granddaughter of Nijinsky II who is a leading broodmare sire. She is a great-granddaughter of Northern Dancer, Secretariat AND Seattle Slew! Young, attractive mare. Riding sound & breeding sound. Well broke before becoming a broodmare. She showed good form and athleticism during free jumping. Easy breeder. Very fertile -- took easily on the first breeding using AI. She has a good looking filly by imported Oldenburg stallion Coromino by her side, born May 3, 2009. She will be bred for a 2010 foal to the international jumper and puissance winner, Rex Grannus, an imported Westphalian stallion that has also competed in dressage. Machira is easy to work with.
