Storm Cellar - Excellent Trail Horse

6 y/o Bay Thoroughbred Gelding

Excellent Trail Horse"Ranger" is a 15h bay gelding that is ready to find a long term home. His calling is as a trail horse. He LOVES trail riding and really doesn't like working in the arena. He stands quietly for grooming and mounting either from the ground or a mounting block. His shorter stature makes him an ideal size for trail riding.

In October 2009, Ranger moved to a new foster home. After only two weeks, his foster mom took him to a Karen Scholl 3-day Horsemanship for Women clinic where he received praise and admiration for his calmness and willingness. His foster home reports that on the trail, Ranger is “awesome! He doesn’t hesitate for water, mud or traffic and is as steady as a Quarterhorse.”

Ranger is up to date on vaccinations, worming, farrier is also barefoot.

Ranger is owned by Friends of Ferdinand, Inc., an organization that transitions ex-racehorses into second career. FFI is based out of Indianapolis, IN. More pics and videos of Ranger are available on our website at http://www.FriendsOfFerdinand.org
