15 y/o Quarter Horse gelding. Is a retired show horse and has been just a pasture pet for the last 5 years. The kids are wanting to go faster and do gymkhana, maybe jump some and have moved on the other mounts. So Duke needs a new home. He is very gentle, kind and easy to be around. He will walk and trot all day, but does not have any desire to go any faster. He was trained this way. Fine on the trail, no spook, slow and steady. This horse is a great confidence builder. He is very well schooled...he side passes, has a perfect pivot, backs with ease, all in a snaffle bit. Could go back to schooling shows Walk/Trot. Duke is a very big horse, 1300 lbs, 16.3H. Bright red sorrel with a blaze and 4 socks. Just shod, up to date on vaccines and deworming. Would be perfect for a lesson horse or someone who does NOT feel the need for speed. You can pull his tail while he is going down the road and he doesn't care...you can pose for pix, too! Ridden by my 12 y/o. Loads, ties, clips, shoes and mounts from a mounting block He was purchased without papers, so he sells as grade.
