Annie and Peaches were rescued from a farm in July '08. They were very malnourished, and had multiple varieties of worms which caused their bellies to be grossly swollen. They were also dehydrated and had rain rot and lice, and Annie had an infection that was draining the life from her rapidly. They had barbed wire caught in their tails and were so lethargic that we weren't sure they would survive the trailer ride home, let alone live much longer without quick intervention. Now, 41/2 months later, the girls have been treated for each malady, and kept on a strict diet of high nutrient feed and hay. You would never know how sick they were by looking at them. The vet believes that Peaches is somewhere between 1 1/2 to 2 years old, and Annie, a year older than her sister. He also believes they are Saddlebreds, due to coloring and general conformation. Annie and Peaches need a new loving home. They do not have papers, they are not broke to ride, but they are the sweetest, most willing horses I've known, and show great potential for healthy, productive lives. Must stay together, free to a qualified family who will continue to nurture their health and happy futures.
