Additional Comments:
Cisco is a big lovey baby. We purchased him back in May as a general riding horse for my 11 year old daughter. When we bought him, we rode him around and he did great. Neck reined, front - back and every which way. Since we brought him home we rode him a few times, but my daughter would not get on him because he is so big (he's not only tall, he is built like a tank!!). My husband is in the military and travels a lot. Cisco has been out to pasture since June. My husband saddled him up last weekend and he rode fine for a few minutes and when he tried to stop Cisco, Cisco started to buck and threw him off. My husband thinks it was the bit, but it's the only one I have that fits him. I don't know...I just think he didn't feel like being ridden after so long, but I am absolutly no expert. I know that with a little work he is a fabulous horse. I have just gone back to work full time and don't have the time to work with him and I hate seeing him sitting in his pen all day long every day. I do need to note that he has about an 8 inch scare at the base of his neck. I don't know how he got it, but it hinders him in no way at all. It's just a cosmetic flaw now. We don't know exactly how old he is, the previous owners said 7 years, but I think maybe a bit older but not much. We just love Cisco and hate to see him go, but I hate seeing him bored and penned all day more. If you have any other questions, feel free to contact me at any time. |
