Arlo is a nice 6 yo Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse that I got as a two year old. He goes very much like a TWH. He is very well gaited, set in his gait, and sure footed. He has extensive experience on mountain trails including 3 weeks this summer on a camp trip in the La Garita Wilderness. I live at the edge of a National Forest and have ridden him out from the house for 4 years. He is gentle for anyone, but might get lazy for a beginner. Arlo is really easy to ride away from the other horses and very independent. He get's along well with others. When I take him out he does a nice gait for a long period and he is very fast and smooth. I've trained him to do a good 4-beat gait. He's nice to shoe and has no bad habits. Reliable, sound. He's a pretty red roan with nice solid head and legs. I enjoy training young gaited horses and would like to get another youngster now.
