Go Boy represents intelligence, drive and stamina. He has a smooth flatfoot walk on a loose rein, a floating foxtrot, running walk and lope with a nice head bob, all without pace. He will disengage his hindquarters and was started on opening and closing gates.
He stand quietly for the farrier, while being groomed and saddled and during mounting. He waits to walk out until directed. He waites patiently while his rider is fixing fence, moves to the next section and waits again without fuss.... (read more) He crosses water and objects without hesitation. He has been loaded in both a straight and slant load trailer, with and without other horses. He stands quietly tied to a trailer for hours.
He is built to cover distances at 15hands and approximately 1000lbs. He was ridden 60 miles over a weekend without difficulty while working around cattle. He can support a heavy saddle and rider without tiring.
Go Boy and I woked with a level 4 Parelli instructor for nine months on groundwork. A professional trainer worked with him in the saddle for over two months in the fall of 2016. He is current on shots, had his teeth floated, sheath cleaned and was wormed April, 2017. He has a negative on Coggins.
I am selling him because I had a serious horse accident (different horse) and need someting slower to regain confidence.
Because of his drive to go, I am offering him to intermediate or above riders. You will have the opportunity to talk/work with our trainer.
