Kentucky Slim is half Rocky Mountain and half Tennessee Walker. He is very gentle and loves to go out riding. He is a gentlemen on the trail. Over logs, through trees, whatever he doesn't seem to care about much as long as he gets to go. He has been around lots of equipment and machinery, ATV's, Semi truck and has chickens, rabbits and dogs around him all the time. The only thing I have found that I don't care for is he will paw the ground if he is impatient (waiting to be fed) and he does not like to go out by himself IF he is leaving another horse home.... (read more) He is kinda buddy sour. A little work would change that. He is a very loving horse that craves attention and I feel guilty that I can't give him what he needs. The photo is of my sister in law riding him who is a novice rider. He is very loving and craves attention, he will follow you around like a puppy dog. I unfortunately have to pass him along to hopefully an owner that has lots of time to spend with him out on the trail, he is way too nice of a horse to just keep penned up. I have two other mares that I ride and a stallion with a couple babies due in the spring. I just don't have the time for him. You can tell he has had a great deal of training as he is easy to handle and backs up with just voice command. He stands great for the farrier, loads beautifully, easy to saddle. I loaded him in the trailer already saddled with another one of my horses and hauled them up to a birthday party where he was ridden by three of my nieces. The youngest being 10yrs old with a cast on her arm and he did great. He just loves to get out and go on the trail. He didn't care he went for three rides with three different riders, he just seemed happy to be out. He is 15.3 hands tall. The pictures do not due him justice, he is a beautiful horse and he has also put on a couple hundred pounds since these pictures and looks great.
