Nice tempered TB mare has been broodmare, is now 21 and is ready for retirement. She is still fit as a fiddle, has had expert dentistry for years, NO leg problems, and is hungry hungry girl. She eats a lot and loves treats. She could be used as a companion horse (she is usually low on pecking order) or as a husband horse for trail rides. She has gone on trail rides with groups and is good, she likes the front of the pack and has a brisk walk (long-legs).... (read more) I have also taken her out by herself and she is good unless she thinks everyone is getting fed then she wants to go eat. Morning best time for riding, after she has eaten. English or western saddle.. she doesn't care. She is reasonable and intelligent; when she is treated fairly and kindly, she responds in same. If you raise your voice at her or behave callously around her she reacts, because she is sensitive. Has been a FABULOUS broodmare, amazing producer. Now she deserves an excellent, loving, very caring home. She has been pastured with a group, alone in a box stall, and everything in between. She doesn't seem to have a preference as long as she is well fed. I am moving soon and don't want to move her again. She has lived in several states and I don't want to haul her around again. She needs a settled life with good people and good food. She prefers and does best on alfalfa hay, senior feed, and carrots (and don't forget the treats!)
Photo is April of last year, her last pregnancy. She shines brightly in the spring and summer. She is nurturing and intelligent.
