2008 Missouri Fox Trotter is available for sale due to unforeseen circumstances, no fault of his own. Has the most natural gaits of any gaited horse I've seen/ridden.
Close to 20 mph running walk. Has a reiner's "Whoa"...will definitely sit down and put on the breaks on his hind end. Super athletic, takes both leads with ease. Gaits naturally without heavy collection. Will also just stay in a normal walk to go with your "non-gaited" friends on trail rides.... (read more)
To approved home only, not for timid beginners (he is super sensitive to GO and WHOA, which can be intimidating to a beginner rider). Gentle demeanor, very sweet and genuinely wants to please.
Any intermediate rider will appreciate him for years to come. Whether checking on cows and covering ground, with a ground covering glide, without being saddle sore at the end of the day, or for the adventurous trail rider.
If he was mine he would stay forever, once-in-a-lifetime kind of horse. Selling for a friend.
Vet checks welcome. He does have scar tissue (from an accident in the fence when he was a 3 year old) on his front pastern to bulb, which extends into his hoof....vet has said he should stay sound.(he hasn't been unsound from it to this day) You're more than Welcome to talk to our vet and current farrier for validation, or your own. Up to date on vaccinations and teeth and farrier work.
(He has grown to 15 hands since video was made, and is now around 1050 lbs. ) $7500
