Dun Scootin Blues (aka Trooper) is an eye catching 3 year old AQHA registered blue roan stallion. Don’t let the fact that he is a stallion deter you, this horse is all around QUIET and as sweet and friendly as can be. If you are looking for unique color here it is, a true blue roan with brindle (chimera) markings ,color tested EE aa RN/rn, 5 panel n/n and pssm2 n/n. Trooper is foundation bred Poco Bueno, Otoe, Jessie James, Three Bars, Sugar Bars, Leo.... (read more) He has money earning full siblings competing in several performance events (barrel racing, team roping, cow horse, etc.). Trooper has a solid start on him with a reining foundation, he has a nice level headset, collects nicely and has a great stop and back. He recently had sliders put on and has the start of a great sliding stop. He knows his leads, crosses over nicely, side passes, moves off your leg and neck reins. He has been hauled to local arenas and ridden with other horses, hauled to ropings and exposed to cattle. He has been exposed to mounted shooting and ridden in the arena while other people are running patterns and shooting. He isn’t bothered by other horses running around him, past him or towards him and doesn’t care about the balloons, sticks, cones or shooting. He has been dry fired off of and has followed behind other horses being shot off and isn’t phase. I have no doubt that he will make one heck of a shooting horse once he is finished. He has been ridden out on the trail and is not spooky, flighty, doesn’t need to be with other horses and will keep up the pace in a group or happily fall to the back. He is not afraid of tarps, bags or flags and is very well desensitized. He will stand tied quietly all day, bathes, clips, is good for the farrier, and will walk in and back out of the trailer like a pro. He has been started right and can go in any direction; roping, barrel racing, mounted shooting, ranch horse, cow horse, trail, etc. He is currently 15.1 hands and still growing, he will most likely finish out around 15.2-15.3. Currently barefoot on the front with sliders on the back and has good solid feet, he is up to date on trimming, worming, shots and had his teeth floated in February. He is used to traffic and is good with dogs. Has been pastured with geldings, other stallions and broodmares and minds his manners well.
