Hollywood Dun it, Dry Doc, Doc Bar, & Peppy San Badger bred Gelding. Hollywood Lil Badger is a gorgeous coming 4YO Palomino. "Badger" is an in your pocket kind of horse. He loves attention. Always at the gate waiting to be petted, or flipping his bucket to let you know hes ready for his dinner. He's a character. Calm and well mannered. If he was older than 4 I'd call him a kids horse.
Badger has a decent handle. He neck reins and responds to leg pressure.... (read more) He had 4 months of professional training with Kevin Miller (cutting trainer), 2 months on cattle. Kevin told me at the time that he would make a cutter if I had the time and money to keep him in training. Unfortunately, I don't have the resources to keep him there. I've rode him in Team Sortings, & Pennings. I've won Money on him at both. He's not a finished sorter, but he is well started and has tremendous potential if you choose to keep training him. He has a lot of cow which is to be expected with his pedigree. My wife trail rides him frequently, open gates, crosses water, logs, rocks, you name it. I haven't seen anything spook him. He likes to have a job. Badger is extremely smart and gets bored with repetitive drills. You have to keep it fresh and interesting for him.
I've swung a rope on him, and roped a dummy. He could easily become a jam up head/heel or calf horse. He's got that perfect disposition. Nice and calm easy going. Put him on a cow and he wants to bite em and tear em up. He has plenty of speed and isn't lazy. He'll go as fast as you want then immediately calm down and walk out of the gate and stand. He naturally tracks a cow. Pedigree can be found on allbreedpedigree.com under Hollywood LIl Badger.
Completely sound and never been injected. Good hard black feet. I've ran him barefoot and he never gets sore even in rocks. He's currently shod and is well mannered for the farrier. UTD on vaccinations, worming, coggins, etc. vet checks welcome at buyers expense. Feel free to call or text me 573-337-0803 ask for John.
I promise you this young horse will make someone an excellent horse. The only reason I'm selling is that I only have time to ride on weekends and like to spend my time competing not training. He will make someone with time a top notch cow horse. $3500
