Mia is a gorgeous all-around triple-registered (APHA w/ Breeder's Trust, Palamino, and PHAA) mare who has been there and done that. Although used primarily for trail riding all throughout the Pacific Northwest, she has been shown successfully in Halter. Trained mostly in Western, she's ridden English and bareback quite often, and is COMPLETELY husband and kid safe. I've put quite a few people with absolutely no horse experience on her, and she took excellent care of them.... (read more) She's very tolerant under the saddle, will stand still while you jump on or slide off her butt like it's no big deal. Doesn't buck, rear, kick, or bite. This winter she has been the designed 'escort' for my gelding while he gets used to the trails since she has so much experience, and wasn't phased by his big spooks in the slightest. Mia even stayed put while he got loose and ran home, leaving her the solo horse. She crosses water, and hasn't spooked when confronted with bikes or angry dogs on trail rides. I'm posting that she has POTENTIAL for barrel racing and various other rodeo gaming because I was shocked when I discovered her agility on a pattern. It's with great confidence I can say she missed her calling as a gaming or cow horse because she loves to work, turns on a dime, and will go as fast as you want her to. Though none of it has been in gaming, she's had an immense amount of training and can work completely off your hips and heels. Snaffle bit, no spurs. I could see her doing tremendously well in Western Dressage or trail classes (not to mention halter because she's stunning), I just don't have any interest in showing. Mia has some very typical mare attitude, like pinning her ears while tacking up, but there is no bite to that bark whatsoever, and she is completely professional under the saddle. Comes up to you in the pasture, ties no problem. She will walk right up to and jump in a trailer without being led, girl is just up for whatever. The only reason this gorgeous mare is up for sale is simply due to lack of time. Like I mentioned before, she really loves to work and just isn't getting that from me. Feel free to email with any questions, I'm sure I've forgotten to include various details! Price is negotiable to the right home, would definitely consider a lease under the right circumstance.
