Just turning 7 NOT registered palomino quarter horse mare. Haven't measured her yet but I believe she is 14.3. Goes English or Western. Jazzy loves to hit the trails. She prefers anywhere in the group except the front, but we have been working on that, and she has been taking the lead some. She LOVES to jump, so with the right person would probably make a cute little hunter/jumper pony. She is not bomb-proof. I don't believe in that. She needs a confident rider.... (read more) She does NOT bolt, buck, or do anything stupid she just plants her feet and has a look at whatever monster she thinks is going to eat her!
She LOVES attention! I have 3 little girls that can brush her and love on her all day. My oldest is autistic and I can lead her around the arena on Jazzy and she will be as gentle as a lamb with her. She is used to cows, goats, pigs, dogs and we are next door to the shooting range so she hears gunshots all the time. We have trailered her to the beach (she loves to swim) and camping around the state. She does well on the big trail rides despite all the activity and sometimes chaos. She is a VERY easy keeper. No allergies. In the summer, if she is on good grass I was giving her 1/4 a scoop of feed just as a treat and she was getting fat! She also has excellent bare feet. My farrier is always complimenting her feet and will be happy to give a reference. She is the best of both worlds-a beautiful golden blonde in the summer and she dapples out in the winter! She is UTD on everything. She is a fun ride because she is not a dead head but she isn't crazy stupid either. She would NOT make a good barrel horse, she doesn't have the speed for that. She has no training with cows but she is a natural at herding and sorting. She is turned out with a herd of 20 horses and she gets along with all of them. She is on the lower end, but not the bottom of the pecking order. She loves to tell the boys what to do ;) My health forces this sale. I am in no hurry, however. My main goal is to find her a good home. The only "vice" she has is if you tie her too tightly she will pull back. Give her room enough to feel like she isn't trapped and she is fine. NO TRADES!!! NO PAYMENTS!!! Msg with any questions! Thanks!
