Indigo is a 13h, Tri Color Paint pony mare. She is not bred and is approx. 8years old.
I traded her for one of my gaited ponies that someone wanted to make a cart pony with. The man had her for about a year and didn't do anything with her. He said she was broke, but I have no idea how long it has been since she was actually ridden.
He ties, loads, there is no bite, kick, buck and has a good temperament.
I sent her off for two weeks of riding and she never bucked, she just didn't know how to really go or turn.... (read more) She directional reins and does move off very good now.
My little girl is riding her, but she said she didn't feel 100% secure riding her and I would like to say that I feel like she needs lots of wet blankets before a child is just let loose on her. We will continue to ride her until she sells which will help make her a better kids horse. An adult could ride her no problem (because of her size) to get her ready for a child. When we had her ridden they took her on trail rides all over the place so she will go just about anywhere she just needs a little more desensitizing.
She is a very loud marked pony and would make some pretty babies and with some weight will make a heck of a pony. Her feet are good and are more like a big horse hoof not a pony. You can groom her and pick up her feet and she is easy to catch.
Indigo has one blue eye and one brown eye and is mainly bay and white with a big brown patch on her muzzle with black mane and tail.
Feel free to contact me with questions. There is a Craigs List ad on her with many more pictures: Tulsa listing, Farm and Garden section, search under her name "Indigo"
