Barrel Racing, Ranch, Trail Riding, Working Cattle
Leo was previously used as a trail horse, I think he prefers trails! He has been used on the ranch the past year. He is starting to really watch a cow. Will ride off by himself no problem, or with the herd. He can be buddy sour when tied up, and no other horses are around, but he's fine when you are riding him. He loves attention! He is easy to clip, shoe, bathe etc. He LOVES water. He will untie himself if you don't loop the tail of the rope through!... (read more) You can open gates on him, as long as you go slow. Has been used to gather cows, pair out, and spring and fall works. Only reason for sale is because he doesn't quite have the "gumption" to be a pickup horse. He does have speed. I would say he would be ok for an intermediate and up rider. He is a little fresh when he has had some time off. Doesn't buck or anything, is just frisky! He isn't a horse that does well with a lot of time off. He does better (like most every horse) the more you ride him. He had his teeth done last March, along with coggins and vaccines. Have a few short videos available.15H Price will go up, the more we leg him up. He's pretty much had the winter off...$1500
