Onyx is the most beautiful mare I think I have ever seen. She stands and carries herself like a champion. her first foal is 4 years old now and he is going to the olympics as a driving horse. she is not the best broodmare however. she is very protective and won't let you handle the babies. however, she is the best riding horse possible. She has so much power behind her, when you ask her to canter off, she pretty much SITS on the ground and LEAPS off!! i love this horse a LOT, money issues just force me to put her up for sale. she has professional training in jumping and dressage, responds nicely to the bit. she sets herself up wonderfully and carries her head with pride. goes out alone or with others, lead or follow. traffic safe. i am training her for barrels so next year her price will go up! i guarantee she will clock in the 1D-2D times when she's got some experience. loves people. tethers, cross ties, good with her feet and bathing, steps right onto the trailer. she can even pace when she wants to. smooth transitions. i cant say enough good things about her! she's 11 years old and she has NEVER (and i mean never) bucked or reared or bolted with a rider and has never shown any inclination to do so. Like i said, i can't say enough good things about her! has thrown 4 foals, all colts. one of her colts will be 3 in the spring and im starting him on reining, hes got a big stop and quick turn. I CANT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT HER!!!! beautiful horse, good feet, correct conformation. just come take a look at her, you wont be sorry. shes fast though, so she does need intermediate + rider
