We have decided to offer our beautiful matching pair of geldings for sale to the RIGHT home only! They are half brothers being born only 2 weeks apart.... (read more) We owned their dad, which was a black and white paint, and our vet had two black quarterhorse mares that he wanted to breed to our stud. When they were born, we could not resist buying them as they are a perfect matching pair of geldings.
We have trained them to drive as a pair and did a lot of driving with them when they were younger. We have not driven them in about 6years. We have trail ridden them all over the place and they will go anywhere that you ask them to go.
This is Rio, the larger of the two horses and the more energetic one. He has been ridden on a lot of trail rides in the last year as we had a friend that would trailer him all over the place, and he is a trail machine. He does know how to neck rein, and he is a fast walking horse that likes to go when you get in the saddle. He would excel at english or any western events, but has not been trained to do anything but trail ride. Both of these horses are extremely friendly boys, and you can do anything with them on the ground like clipping, bathing, their feet, grooming as they do not have any vices what so ever. They are great on the trail and will go over any bridges and through any type of water. They load great on any kind of trailer as well. They are great with traffic on the road, and do fantastic in the pasture as we keep them on 24/7 turnout. They do not have any health or lameness issues and the only reason we are looking to re-home them is because we do not give them enough attention like they deserve. They absolutely love attention and would love to have more then we can give right now. I really can not say enough about these boys, as they have been our babies for 12 years so it will not be easy, but I would rather see them get used and get more attention then what we can give them. If you feel you are the right home for one of them or both feel free to contact me. The last pictures are of him when he was younger. Him standing there is when he was 3 and the one when he was being ridden was when he was 4.
