My Style

"My Style" or Maia is a very sweet 5 year old 15hh red dun Quarter Horse/Morgan cross mare. This mare is the definition of flashy. Solid basics, knows leads, and has even done a flying change under saddle. Very light to the aids and not heavy on the hand. She's a very smart girl and picks things up quickly. She leg-yields, bends and counterbends with minimal effort. Holds a frame quite nicely. Maia is extremely quiet for her age - hacks well alone or with others; she keeps her cool even if another horse is spooking at something. I have popped her over a 2'3" jump, she did well. She responds well to the rider, can be laid back or spunky, depending on what you ask of her. Potential to be a kid's horse or lesson horse with a few more miles. No vices, and loads well. Currently working well in an Eggbutt French Link. Up to date on all vaccinations, farrier work (is barefoot, very good for farrier), and deworming. Teeth floated last month. I am NOT in a rush to sell, I love this mare but I would like to get a taller Thoroughbred- or Warmblood-type prospect. A good home is a must. May consider trades for such. $5000 obo, good home is more important than money.
