For your consideration is a 10 year old registered Buckskin Missouri Fox Trotter mare.
"Gypsum" is a sturdy 15.0 hands. She's had 90 days professional training as a 8 year old in 2013. She has been casually ridden for pleasure and on trails by amateur adults.
Gypsum is suited for pleasure riding, trail, and is a potential local show ring prospect. She is a boldly colored buckskin and has impressive build. She is up to date on all shots and deworming.... (read more) She has been on an 8 week barefoot trimming scheduling. She has no health issues that we know of.
Gypsum has a sweet personality, but from a lack of work over the past year, needs a basic refresher from an experienced rider or trainer.
I envision Gypsum as an excellent young adult/adult trail horse or extra horse. If someone wants to invest the time, she would make a great pleasure show horse at the local circuit.
She gets along with other horses and has been an easy keeper for the few years we've had her. She lives in a large dry lot (or pasture, depending on the season) with two other mares. She has has access to free range hay. We have never grained her and she has always maintained good weight & health from hay and grass. She is easy to catch, and stands perfect for the vet and farrier.
Gypsum would need an intermediate rider working with a trainer, or an advanced rider willing to put time on her to get her back in riding shape.
Gypsum has been a pet for the past year, so she loves her humans and is ready for someone who will give her a job. She's a lovely mare who I would be keeping if I had the time to invest in her. My mom passed away this year, and we need to downsize the herd.
Unfortunately, with my mom's passing, her papers have been lost and we have not been able to find them.
