"Bayland" was posted for sale on this site in late summer but had to be pulled off when he came up with a soundness issue which turned out to be a foot abscess. The abscess had been treated and his feet xray's are good (no rotation). He is now going sound again and hoping for a new home where he can continue to move forward in a new career. (An arena would be nice!) Although Bayland has not had any riding experiences other than as a race horse it is hard for me to imagine a more willing or friendly guy.... (read more) Even though he is over 16 hands he is not intimidating and I have never seen him aggressive toward other horses.
His price is somewhat negotiable to the right party.
He is being sold not to race as he is now 9 years old has "done enough" in that area - having earned over $200,000.
Other than what appears to have been a foot abscess this late summer/fall, I have never seen him have any soundness issues. He does not crib or have any other vices that I know of. He will follow you around like a puppy dog looking for attention but still has loads of energy & competitive nature when asked to perform. Extremely willing to please!
