Roven is an adorable, loveable and curious 7 year old gelding. This horse craves attention and LOVES people. About his breed: his mother we know was pure Egyptian Arabian and his Father was a mix of Tennessee Walker and Appaloosa. His vaccinations were updated December 2014, farrier trimmed feet July 2015 and vet floated teeth in 2013.
I have had him since he was 3 months old. He has had considerable handling; stands on cross ties, bathes, sheath cleaning, vaccinations, farrier and tacking up.... (read more) He could go English or Western as a great trail horse or fun finishing project. So far he knows English direct rein but he has had western saddles on him too. He does not shy for anything on the trail! He has had tons of hours of ground handling and I have him in walk, trot and canter but he needs to be finished by an intermediate or advanced rider. I am letting him go because I have a horseback riding school and no time to finish him; he is my husband's horse but he has no time for him anymore due to a new job.
His vices are holding his leg up and/or pawing during feeding and sometimes before I get the grain in the bucket. He is one of the first horses to greet me at the farm and when he sees my truck coming down the driveway.
I rated him a 3 for temperament because he playfully bucks on a ride if we haven't ridden for a while and he paws for his food. He stand pretty well.
If you are under 18 and interested please have your guardian or parent contact me.
The first person that shows up with a trailor may have him I jusk ask that you give him a good home. Please leave a donation for the Virginia Horse Center's therapeutic riding school. Leave me a check and I will mail it in for you, that's all I ask. You decide the amount.
Can be shipped for a fee but I prefer you have your own means of transporting him. I just don't have the time to do it.
