Athletic, Husband Safe, Lesson, Longe Line, Western Pleasure
He’s your basic run-of-the-mill trail horse. At 19 years young, he's built like a brick house and measures in at just under 16 hands… so maybe stop reading here? Still reading? Dammit.
I really don't want to sell him, but I have to. So maybe you’re scared of his age? Why? Charlie is healthy and will ride all day and never complain. He will most likely be rideable well into his thirties if he stays gainfully employed. The only reason I’m selling him, is My husband and I only have two fannies to ride our four horses.... (read more) So two of em gotta go. I love my husband... He’s tired of slopping in mud to feed em all. Dunno about ya’ll, but this winter was might muddy…. I don’t really want to sell him, but again... Did I tell you I love my Husband? Still reading? Good. There is hope.
Charlie Horse is a basic trail horse and a darn good one. Nothing more. No, Charlie does not have potential to run barrels. No, he will not make a good hunter jumper prospect either. He’s 19 for gosh sakes! I’m 46 years old and I sure don’t plan to take up jogging, or become a ballerina. I do know that like Charlie Horse, I can out work folks that are half my age. I plan on doing that until they put me in the ground. So does he. No he doesn't pull a wagon that I know of but he is not scared of them either.
Charlie is no conformational cream puff so I doubt he would be much of a show horse either, but he is sound and free of foot issues. His ground manners do leave something to be desired sometimes, but who cares! All I did with him was trail ride. He has literally hundreds of trail miles in fact and is afraid of nothing. He will go through brooks, swim the river and mud. Folks, I even had a squirrel jump out of a tree once and land on us both. Charlie did not miss a step. I on the other hand, had to change my shorts.
Charlie is only for sale to the right person and home, not the first person or freaking 16 year old with $800 bucks in their hand looking for a cheap horse. If he does not sell, I will not be dropping him off at an auction or anything stupid like that. He’s carried my buttocks a sad many of mile. I owe it to him to find him another guardian who will continue to ride and love him as we have.
So, if you’re still readin' and lookin' for a good basic trail horse with lots of miles left in his- ta da! Here he is. Message me or call me 252-267-2500. Serious inquiries only.
