Calamity is a approx. 15year old mare (doesn't appear to be that old), and between 12-13h tall. This is a pony appropriate for a beginner to learn on! This pony has no bite, buck, kick, not spooky. Loads, ties and tacks very quiet. Not afraid of all the dogs. Had a great pace to be trail ridden on. She can road bareback or with saddle. Let them loose in the pen or take your kid on trail ride and she will follow you.
**This mare is being dry lotted (no grass), she is very obese but had not gotten the crusty neck.... (read more) She shows no sign of soreness or laminitis. I believe we got to her before any damage has occured. As with all my ponies I will tell you everything I can tell you about the pony.
Bought out of Haskell from a friend where she was kept in a pasture with grass a la carte. Her feet have been trimmed and my ferrier said there is a callus or build up on the bottom, but with a few trims this can be taken off and her feet will be just fine. I have had one other pony like this I sold to a dear friend and he is on the trail with us and ridden by his grandkids all the time. No problems. He does keep him to a minimum on the green grass though and I would suggest that with this pony as well. She is a very easy keeper.. This pony can be caught anywhere, not a runner, very joyful with a good demeanor (not cranky like most mares) she neck reins but is very rusty at it. Rides in a snaffle bit. She has the sweetest little face with so much expression!
Feel free to call with more questions or to come see her. There is a Craigs List ad on her with lots more pictures: Go to Tulsa listing, Farm and Garden Section and search for Coweta, Pony or by her name "Calamity"
