Additional Comments:
This is one you do not want to pass up! Cherokee is a 14.1hh 10yr old bay lepard appaloosa mare with 3 black legs & 1 white one. When I was barrel racing her Everyone wanted her. The ONLY reason I am selling Cherokee is because I out grew her & so I have moved on to a 15.3hh horse for me to ride & show. Cherokee does parades, barrels around 19 seconds, poles 24 seconds, speed around 8 seconds, Great trail horse, & we used to ride her double barback & with the saddle. We came in first almost every time on barrel pickup & poles. She has not been doing anything, but trail riding for the past year & a half. Cherokee will probably need tuned up before taking her to a rodeo or show. She acts like a 4 year old, loves to take rides in the horse trailer, great for farrier, baths, leads, & is just a great horse. Not for the beginer rider, she needs someone that know what they are doing. Does not spook very easy on trails, she only spooked with me once, because she steped on a sign & it came up at her & she spooked. Cher okee is sound, you are welcome to come trail ride her before you buy. We have a ten mile block that we ride alot. Please email me for pics & more info.... just can't say inough about her. I do not have any videos of Cherokee.
I was 11 yrs old when I got her & I was a very green rider, this horse has helped me advance from a very laid back walk/trot horse, to her which is much more horse just loosen the reins & you go. You would need to try her first to make sure that she is the right horse as I would not want someone to get Cherokee & not like her. I don't know how well she would do for western pleasure I have entered her at Siloam Springs Arkansas in a western pleasure Juniour class & we got first place, but that has been 2yrs ago. I have several ribons that we have won in the Coal Hill Riding Club playdays, if you want to see more proof than pics of her doing playdays. We also rode in the Cowgirls For Christ Barrel Racing Club in 2006, we came in 4th or 5th almost every time in a classes of 100 riders in the juniour devision. I was always to scared to push her or we could have done much better, but as I said I was a green rider at the time. I have now advanced & am training my 15.3hh gelding to barrel race...(The Only Reason I am even trying to sell her is that she is to short for me & is going to waste in the pasture.) I have had her for a little over 5 yrs & she has had only 2 foals in her life time, Cherokee is UTD on worming & coggins. If you would like to more info or would like to come look at Cherokee & ride her please email back anytime.
