1999 Paint Tobiano gelding. Seasoned barrel and pole horse. Stormy is a been there done that type of horse. Not much bothers him. He loves to trail ride, will stand tied, hauls good, eats/drinks on the road, and good for farrier, shots/worming. He is calm and easy going both inside and outside the arena. Runs well both indoor and outdoor pens. He is not a barrel/pole hitter. He is quiet enough for a younger/less experienced rider to ride at home or on trails.... (read more) My 10 year old daughter raced him but kept him checked down and they did well. She is now 12 and pushes him the entire time. He is easy to ride but needs a rider with good hand position around barrels at faster speeds. He stands good on all types of ground. Stormy has ran in the 2D/3D youth and 4D open consistently and runs 23/24 second pole times with lots of room for improvement. He did qualify this past 2015 season to run at NBHA Open World in 2016. This horse will run both directions in barrels and poles. We had his hocks injected 12/2015 for his comfort. If you plan to run him consistently then he will need hock injections at least a couple times a year. We keep all our horses on good supplements so he is healthy! He is a light cribber if kept stalled up but not bad enough to need a collar. UTD on vaccines/coggins 4/2015, dental 6/2015, chiropractic 10/2015, and wormed every 8 weeks. If I still have him this Spring then he will be hauled and raced, but price will go up too. Lots of videos on YouTube. Search under Barrel Horse Mystic Smoke. We are located near Springfield MO. Serious inquiries only please. Stormy is super sweet and must go to a loving home. Selling because my daughter got a step up horse and I don't have time to keep 5 horses legged up and hauled year round. Might negotiate rate to the right home.
