WF INDIAN BILL: 90.625% foundation AQHA perlino dun stallion. Turned 8 yrs. on 7-1-09. 15.1 hands. About 1100 lbs. Very typey AQHA build and docile temperament. Well broke to ride, but has really only been ridden sporadically over the 4 years we've had him. Last ride was in June of this year and as always, he was a very good boy. Perfect gentleman. Stands for vet, farrier, bathing, grooming, doctoring of boo-boo's, fly spray, etc. NO vices. Submissive to alpha mares. Has a summer itch sore on one foot due to all the rain - we live next to a wetland, and the ground is just really too damp. Doesn't bother our mare, just him. It's healing well. Due to his pink skin and blue eyes, he is more sensitive to the elements than most and would probably benefit from daytime stalling and nighttime turnout in a drier place. Has a small tumor in his left eye that our vet (Dr. Herrero of Odessa Equine) says is common in blue-eyed horses. He didn't want to remove it, however, because it's right on the lower lid, in the corner, and he was afraid a scar might make the lid turn inward and cause problems. The tumor is dime-sized, and weepy at times, but does not cause him pain or discomfort, nor does it affect his vision. He keeps a fly mask on at all times at the vet's advice. Bill is a fantastic breeding stallion, and is very easy to handle, even during a breeding session. His pedigree is to die for, top and bottom. He is also registered with APHA due to his color. We used him for crossing onto TB mares to make very nice and colorful appendix foals, and those foals sold well. We are selling our farm, and Bill and one TB mare are the last to go (and the best). I can include with Bill the love of his life, a very nicely built, well bred TB mare named Diplomatic Pleasure. Pleasure is registered with the Jockey Club and with AQHA. Her stats are: 18 years, 16 hands, 1200 lbs., coppery chestnut, long lush mane and tail, BIG white star, white belly spots, roaning on her flanks and a white tailhead (sabino and rabicano). She is super broke and safe for an experienced beginner and up. She was my youngest daughter's first horse and is worth her big fat weight in gold for being such an excellent confidence-builder. Although she continues to have a heat like clockwork every 3 weeks and lives outside with Bill, she no longer conceives, so she is sold as a wonderful riding/lesson horse, not as a broodmare.
Both horses are up to date on shots and worming and each has a brand new negative coggins. Feet are due now (danged farrier is so busy, it takes forever to get him out there!! But he's been called and should be out next week.) If you take both, I will include for FREE all of their remaining alfalfa bales, grain, Calf manna, oats, mineral block, ivermectin wormers (I buy in bulk), feed buckets, leadropes, halters, fly masks, grooming supplies, and doctoring supplies (furazone, iodine, bandages, vetwrap, etc., you know the drill). Each has original registrations in hand and they are transferable.
I have had Bill for sale for some time now and had a good bit of interest at $3500, but mostly from out of state. My preference is that he stay in Florida, so I did not entertain those offers. I had planned to keep them around indefinitely until the "right" buyer came along, but I now no longer have that luxury. I was notified last week that Social Security is going to abate my kids' survivor payments until February of next year because they made a mistake in calculating the payments and feel that they over paid us!! I didn't ask them for anything. When my husband passed away, they started sending us money because our children are still minors. Now, they want back the "overpayment"! And just in time for the holidays, too, isn't that nice?? So, we will be on half an income for 5 months starting October 1. As a result, I can no longer keep them indefinitely, and it breaks my heart, but I must sell NOW. I had been asking $3500 for Bill and $1,000 for Pleasure, but due to this circumstance, I will take $2500 for both. I need them off the expenses by Sept. 30th. I will CONSIDER a lease with enforceable legal documents. I will NOT consider giving them away, please don't ask. Neither are giveaways, they are quality animals with long term sustainable worth. I would like it if they could stay together because they are bonded, but they can go separately. GOOD HOME IS A MUST.
I have tons of pics of the stallion, the mare and the stallion's foals, please email your SERIOUS INTEREST to request them, and I will be happy to email them to you on Monday. I do not have internet access over the weekend. You can also call me on my cell at 321-289-6653, I'll be happy to chat with you, as long as it's not after 10:00 p.m. If you'd like to come out and visit, that's okay too.
