Calvin is really easy to manage, he grooms nicely all around and was trained in beginner Dressage, used to do Jumping, and trained English. We currently ride him Western and he does fine in that as well! But we were told that around five years ago he had a minor injury with his front left leg, however he jumped around three years after that and we watched him jump a four ft. high fence by mistake. Obviously, he can now jump and we jumped him over a few ground poles but nothing serious. He is a great prospect in anything you decide to do with him and has a wonderful personality. He has only gotten spooked once since we got him, and that was around the farrier's stool.
Not even around odd objects as he gotten spooked! Almost bomb-proof. He is around everything also, since we live near the road, the airport, and the traintracks are in our backyard. Not scared of quads, dogs, planes, motors, or odd noises. He also clips and loads extremely well. The farrier had absolutely no problem with him and Calvin seemed to enjoy it very much. The only problem that he's had is the issue we've had putting weight on him. We've been told that we're overfeeding him, but he hasn't gained much weight, even though he just got dewormed twice already. (That makes a horse loose weight anyway.) So we're putting him on a new rice bran diet, but everything else is fine and fun with him! He rides great, and anyone that gets him will be very happy with him!
