Tapestry Institute's Horse-Human Relationship Program explores what it means when we treat horses as our friends, teachers, partners, and kin. Our current Riding Program allows participants to experience this core belief as a way to create a deeper relationship with horses. Through learning about balance, centering, and connection, riders become more confident, leading to happier horses and humans. Website:tapestryinstitute.org

Tapestry Institute's Horse-Human Relationship Riding Program focuses on horses being our friends, teachers, partners, and kin. The horse-human relationship is about recognizing the partnership that can exist between horses and humans. In this riding program, you will learn many skills to form this partnership, and always, this central belief will be at the core of everything you learn. The program focuses on the three principles of balance, centering, and connection to create a partnership between horse and rider. Director Joanne (Jo) L. Belasco is a lifelong equestrienne who combines her love of horses, her training in dressage, and her experience in researching the horse-human relationship in order to provide a unique and fun learning environment. While all riders can benefit from the program, it is especially designed for fearful riders, beginning riders, returning riders, and women riders who want to learn how to carry what they learn on the back of a horse into the rest of their life. Jo will work with you on your own horse, you can trailer to her location near the Pecos River (near Pecos, NM), or you can ride on lesson horses at her location. Visit our website to learn more.
