North Dakota Badlands Horse is a 501 c 3 nonprofit created in 2009 to support, promote, and find homes for the wild horses of Theodore Roosevelt national Park in western North Dakota. In order to keep numbers at a manageable number, periodically the wild horses are captured by low stress methods and a few young horses are removed. NDBH prequalifies interested people so that they can adopt the horses, gentle them, and give them great homes. Anyone interested in adopting one of these historical horses, whose ancestors were seen and and appreciated by Teddy Roosevelt himself, can go to the Facebook page-North Dakota Badlands Horse.
