Kelly Marie is a successful FEI dressage rider for the past 18 years of her 30 years of riding. Developed in the classical German dressage system under Conrad Schumacher tutelage, she takes pride in developing a happy, well going, young horse into a happy, healthy, well going FEI horse for the amateur and junior/young rider. Originally from the Lake Minnetonka area of Minnesota, her riding has carried her into southern California where she began her career as a professional dressage rider.... (read more) Later she ventured back to Minneapolis, Minnesota and then to Wellington, Florida. In that time she has successfully trained numerous horses and riders through the FEI levels. Several of these horses have had top placings in Horse of the Year awards. Her students have achieved such awards as USDF Amateur and Junior/YoungRider of the Year, and Championships across the country from Training Level to Intermediare I. In 2005 she was the Region 4 North American Young Rider Championship dressage Team Coach, which brought back many memories of her own experience of riding to a Team Silver Medal in 1997, which is still the highest placed Young Rider team for Region 4. Over the years Kelly has appeared on the cover of Dressage Today, along with participating in numerous photo shoots for articles in Dressage Today, Hunter & Sport Horse, Chronicle of the Horse, and Practical Horseman magazines.
