Dasara Farms

Dasara Farms was founded in 1992 by Dave and Sarah King.

Sarah King's first experience with horses began when she was 18 months old, and has continued ever since then. Sarah began with Quarter Horses, then bred one of her mares to the famous Surf for her first Half-Arab. This then led to purebred Arabians.

The guiding light at Dasara Farms is a belief that horses need to be functional, not just beautiful. The training program and support at Dasara Farms focuses on horses that can be ridden by junior riders and amateurs.... (read more) Many of them, including their stallions and outside training horses, are able to be ridden in just a halter!As an outgrowth of their desire for functional horses, Dasara has expanded from the traditional English, Hunter and Western into Sport horses. This is aided by the sensible athleticism they've insisted on for their breeding stock. When combined with some of the exceptional size from the Russian crosses, the Arabian and Half-Arab sport horses from Dasara are sure to excel.
