Jump for Joy Farm is an educational and recreational farm and equestrian facility located minutes south of Happy Valley and Damascus, OR and only 30 minutes from downtown and SE Portland!
We welcome all types of riders, horses and disciplines to enjoy Jump for Joy Farm's fun family-friendly and drama free environment. We offer full-care horse boarding and training, a riding school and lesson program with certified instructors and a herd of our own seasoned school horses.
Our professionally run facility has 12' x12' box stalls, 8 with all weather runs, 10' x 10' pony stalls and year round turnout. Riders enjoy a gigantic covered arena (204' x 80'), a standard indoor arena, a round pen, a full suite of jumps, and a few trails on the property (we are 8 miles from McIver State Park for premiere equestrian trail riding).
Our goal is to create a fun, safe, friendly and community-oriented environment where horse enthusiasts, nature lovers, adventurers, and urban farmers of all ages can build their skills and enjoy spending their time. Jump for Joy Farm offers horse training services to suit a range of training needs from breaking young horses, to developing green horses, to tuning up horse that have been idle or rehabilitating after an injury or layup, to solving behavioral problems and preparing for shows.
Horses may be in full or partial training, or be scheduled for single training rides when desired. Full training consists of 4 or 5 training sessions a week. When a horse is in full training, owner may choice to take a weekly lesson to replace one training session (owner rides his/her horse); Partial training consists of 2-3 training sessions a week, owner may elect to take a weekly lesson to replace one training session (owner rides his/her horse)
Customized training plans are developed for each horse according to their learning needs and advancement objectives, age and experience, as well as owner's budget.
Prices are set according to training requirements
Training costs are in addition to full board.
