I’m in a bit of a pickle. I have a wonderful older gelding who is mostly retired. Unfortunately, finances are really tight, I can’t afford to take care of him anymore and my family is not in a position to help me out. I was trying to volunteer him at a therapeutic riding stable, but it looks like that fell through. I have had him for twelve years and love him to death. I am hoping that there is someone out there who might be looking for a companion horse. He is completely sound, however, he has bad heaves. He is comfortable in the pasture, but has a hard time breathing if he is ridden any faster than a walk. I will gladly pay for his supplements, hoof trims and vet care, I just can’t afford a monthly boarding fee, and I‘m hoping I can find someone around here who needs a buddy for their horse.
