Jake was injured sometime before we bought him, it was unknown to us. He cannot be ridden above a walk, when he brings his head in to collect himself he puts pressure on the injured vertebra and he gets great pain. because of this he is very nervous under saddle. I will NOT give him to someone who is planning on riding him. He is very sweet and gentle from the ground, he has no bad habits or vices, he is an extremely easy keeper, and he is VERY pretty. He could possibly be trained for driving, without the weight on his back he might be fine but no promises. He would make a great companion horse, I have him in with a 3yo colt right now and they just love each other. |
